Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Hiring Detention Officers for Jail
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring for a number of positions including Detention Officers in the jail. You must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Starting salary is $40,000 a year plus health benefits and retirement.
Within a year you will attend COTA (Correction Officer Training Academy) in Tucson, Arizona.
Jobs are available at the main jail is in Bisbee, Arizona with satellite jails in Sierra Vista, Arizona and Wilcox, Arizona
Detention officers are responsible for the supervision and security of inmates at the jail. They ensure that inmates follow the rules and regulations of the facility, and they also help maintain order and safety within the jail. Correction officers must be able to work in a high-stress environment and be able to handle difficult situations. They must be able to work with a diverse population and be able to handle emergencies.
To be considered for a job at the Cochise County Jail, candidates must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check along with other tests. Law Enforcement Officers must be 21 years old, so this is a great opportunity to start your law enforcement career at 18 and then apply to be a Deputy at 21.
