Can Your Kids Legally Drink With Permission In Arizona?
Growing up, I was a good kid. Al through High School, I never went to parties, never did drugs, and never drank alcohol. There were exceptions, of course, but always under the watchful eye of mom and dad.
This was always in the comfort of my home, so we never expected to get in trouble, but is it legally allowed in Arizona?
Can Alcohol be Served to Minors in Arizona?
The easy answer to this question is "no", but of course the law makes this trickier than it has to be. You are allowed to serve your own children alcohol as long as it is within the safety of your own home. The police aren't going to knock down your door for serving your child wine with dinner.
It gets a bit more complicated with other people's kids. Serving alcohol to minors outside of your immediate family will land you a Class 1 Misdemeanor.

How to Keep Your Kids Safe
Not every kid is like me, and plenty of them will try to find ways to drink outside of parental supervision, which can be incredibly dangerous. Many parents have chosen to host parties for their children, to ensure everyone has a watchful eye on them as they consume alcohol.
This can backfire, however, as even if your kids throw a rager while you're not home, you'll still be held responsible. This may come with fines or even jail time if enough goes wrong. So parents, no matter how much you trust your kid and their friends, make sure to keep and eye out for them and keep them safe.
