How Many Pets Can You Legally Own In Arizona?
I love pets. My whole life I've always had a critter or two running around my home, giving me joy and comfort through my days.
At most, I've only ever lived with three pets at the same time, and that's a lot to take care of, but is there a cap on the amount you're legally allowed to have?
Maximum Number of Pets Allowed in Arizona
To all those who have dozens of furry and feathered friends running around, I have good news! The state of Arizona does not technically place a limit on the amount of animals you're allowed to keep as pets in your residence.
This doesn't mean you're home free quite yet, though. Every city has their own specific rules and regulations, such as Tucson, who caps a maximum of 10 cats or dogs to ensure none are neglected. This does depend city to city, so make sure you check with your local city or HOA to see if there's a requirement.

Taking Care of Your Furry Friends
Now, being allowed to have that many pets, while legal, may not always be a good idea. You just remember that these animals are living creatures, and need to be taken care of. That's why, in Maricopa County at least, it's a requirement that every animal is properly taken care of with equal food, water, and recreation given to each.
Maricopa also requires Rabies vaccines for dogs, as well as registering those dogs with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. Regardless of how much you love all your pets, taking proper care of them comes first and foremost. If you can care for them, though, there's nothing stopping you from adopting all the pets you can dream of.
