Arizona on High Alert: Will Fort Huachuca & Davis-Monthan Troops Be Deployed to Israel?
Arizona and the world have been on high alert following the terror attacks on Israel by Hamas militants on October 7th.
Arizona's military bases around the state, including Fort Huachuca and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, are waiting as Washington DC makes decisions on how the US will offer support in the conflict.

US Troops Deploying to Israel
At this writing, about 2,000 U.S. troops are slated to deploy to the Middle East as part of the ground offensive. American service members would not be sent to Israel; instead, the troops would be positioned as "non-combatant" troops.
These troops are not intended to serve in combat roles and will be placed in countries outside Israel. They will serve in advisement positions and provide medical support, according to officials.
The personnel being deployed comprise a cross-section of troops from across the U.S. armed services.
Troops Deploying to Israel from Southeastern Arizona
There will be troops from Southeastern Arizona, especially forces from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.
The Air Force Times reports, "Airmen from the 354th Fighter Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, deployed as part of a larger effort to rush firepower to U.S. Central Command, a senior defense official told reporters Thursday."
Increasing Security Measures Around Arizona
Across Arizona, schools, colleges, and houses of worship are ramping up security measures.
Federal, state, and local police have been on high alert since Hamas called for a global day of rage which was to have occurred on Friday the 13th. While the day remained relatively quiet, federal officials issued public safety alerts.
Jewish institutions have responded with increased vigilance and increased security measures. As things are continually evolving, things have remained mostly peaceful across Arizona and the US.
Officials advise diligence: if you see something, say something.
