We all know the internet can be terrible for our hearts and minds, and it can add to the stress of a rough day. There's a lot of doom and gloom on the 'net, but it's not all bad if you know where to look.

Take a break from doom-scrolling for a moment and give yourself a little dopamine hit. It could change your whole mood. Moreover, it's safe for work, and you can share the joy with your co-workers and kids!

Watch the Animals at Reid Park Zoo!

One of Arizona's best day trips is a visit to the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson. If you don't have time to dedicate a whole day to a zoo adventure, you can visit the animals virtually and take a peak right from your desktop or cell phone.

Relax and connect with wildlife through Reid Park Zoo's “Zoo Cams.” Watch the live streams from the comfort of wherever you happen to be. Sitting in the doctor's office, waiting for an appointment? Check out the Elephant Zoo Cam. Need to step away from a report at work for two minutes of bliss? Find out what the Flamingos are up to.

Hop on the website and click on Zoo Cams. You can watch the animals from nine different feeds. There are even two separate feeds just for the elephants!

Reid Park Zoo's Featured Animals on the Webcams

The featured animals include elephants, giraffes, lions, and lemurs. My personal favorite is the view of the majestic elephants. I love watching them hang out in their habitat, eat breakfast, and play all day.

The Zoo Cams are peaceful; you'll feel your pulse drop, your breathing slow, and your peace of mind return.

If you need a break, check out the sloth and take a "virtual nap" with the sweet, sleepy animal. Want a fun pick-me-up? Watch the colorful flamingos...flamingo.

If you habitually check in with the Zoo Cams, your time on the internet will quickly become more pleasant. Many say watching the cameras gives them a sense of calm, especially during our typically stressful lives.

On a side note, the animals are not always visible. If you log on often, you'll start to understand their patterns and the best time to watch them as they live.
