It's time for the Boys & Girls Club of Sierra Vista Radio-A-Thon. Here's your chance to help an organization dedicated to making a brighter future for our youth right here in Cochise County.

According to their website, "[the Boys and Girls Club of Sierra Vista] was formed in 1995, by a group of residents of Sierra Vista...[to provide a] safe, fun place for the youth of Sierra Vista and its surrounding communities. Shortly thereafter, the Club was incorporated and officially became a Boys & Girls Club under the Boys & Girls Clubs of America."

Club History

The club began in 1996 on First Street in Sierra Vista, and eventually moved to their current location on at 1746 Paseo San Luis. The new location houses a gym, technology lab, art and game rooms, and much more, and can accommodate over 1,000 kids. With the help of community support, the club opened a second locale on the West End.

The Boys and Girls Club of Sierra Vista has been a safe haven for children and youth throughout Cochise County for over 25 years, but they can't do it alone. Through your generosity, the club continues to provide opportunities to learn and grow and experience different programs and activities.

Opportunities for Youth of Cochise County

The Boys and Girls Club is always expanding opportunities for the children they serve. They provide STEM Programs focusing on skills needed to succeed, such as computers and technology; art and creative expression, like the National Photography program, plus they hold in-house talent shows for kids of all levels, allowing kids to experience live performance in front of family and friends. These programs help children gain confidence and experience for the real world.

The ever-expanding sports and recreation opportunities include a growing Flag Football program, that includes plans to create a local league. Health and wellness, workforce readiness and character and leadership programs aimed at supporting kids as they move into adulthood help to round out the experience. The aim is a quality experience at a low cost to children and their families.
