Food as Unique as this Cochise County Town
We have a rule in our family: when we travel outside of Sierra Vista, we never stop to eat at a restaurant we have in town. For example, there's not stopping at McDonald's in Prescott. Instead, we look for a little mom and pop burger joint and enjoy that instead.
Which is why we love to visit Bisbee. It's only a short drive from our house, and I'm pretty sure they only have one fast food restaurant in the whole town.
In Bisbee, food is an experience - from delicious food to the preparation, to the homemade treats - a visit to Bisbee is satisfying for the mind and the body.
Dylan's Pizza Bistro - A Family Friendly Restaurant in Bisbee
This little joint has undergone quite the overhaul in the last few years. It used to be more in line with a take-away pizza and sandwich shop.
With sit down service and a newly remodeled dining room, Dylan's feels more like a fine dining restaurant, but without the high prices. This restaurant is a little off Bisbee's beaten path. Located near the Safeway, it's one of the first stops on the way into Bisbee from Sierra Vista, before you hit the traffic circle.
Dylan's also serve salads, sandwiches, and pasta. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
Screaming Banshee Pizza - Delicious Pizza, One of Kind Atmosphere
This pizza place used to be an old gas station, but now it's a funky and fun spot to enjoy wood-fired pizzas with creative names like The Godfather, The Banshee, and The Inferno. You can also build your own pizza from scratch or order salads, calzones, and desserts.
This place is an experience! Whether you opt to sit in the restaurant of enjoy the wonderful outdoors on their front or back patio, the Screaming Banshee lives up to it's unique name.
The Copper Pig - Barbecue and American with a Twist
The Copper Pig is a relatively new addition to the Bisbee gastro experience. You won't find this stop in old Bisbee but take the Warren exit at the traffic circle and head over to Arizona Street.
The Copper Pig serves American and barbecue dishes with a twist. Try their smoked brisket, pork belly tacos, or chicken and waffles. They also have a full bar and live music on weekends.
The Quarry Bisbee - Farm to Table Goodness
The Quarry offers a farm-to-table menu with fresh and seasonal ingredients. They even make their own condiments, including ketchup and ranch dressing. Their burgers are cooked to order, the bread is artisan, and the fresh flavors are amazing.
They also serve salads, sandwiches, and entrees like steak frites or salmon with quinoa. They even have a full bar. I once saw them serve a Bloody Mary that looked like a salad all by itself - and I think it had a strip of bacon with it!
Cafe Roka - Fine Dining with a Touch of European Flair
There aren't a lot of fine dining options in Cochise County, so Cafe Roka is in a class by itself. It seems like anyone looking to celebrate a special milestone like an anniversary or birthday makes reservations at Cafe Roka.
This elegant and romantic restaurant in the heart of Bisbee's Main Street specializes in contemporary American cuisine with a touch of European flair.
This may be the only place in our area where you can get lobster ravioli, beef tenderloin, or roasted duck breast. The menu changes and reservations fill up quickly, so it's a good idea to get your plans set with reservations.
Thuy's Noodle Shop - Soul Soothing Goodness in a Bowl
When Thuy's Noodle Shop was located on the other side of Bisbee, the tiny little restaurant was standing room only most evenings. Now that they've moved across the street from the Screaming Banshee in Tombstone Canyon, somehow the restaurant, which is easily three or four times larger and has patio seating, is still standing room only.
This should tell you everything you need to know. Thuy's serves Vietnamese food with fresh and flavorful ingredients; a bowl of soul-soothing phở soup or hand rolled winter rolls will make your heart sing.
They also have vegan and gluten-free options. Be sure to say hello to Thuy herself, as she's making your food while smiling and greeting every customer as they walk in the door.
