What Are They Building Next to Culver’s in Sierra Vista?

If I were in charge of the city planning department, I would make a rule: when someone starts building something in Sierra Vista, they would have to put up a sign letting us know what's coming to our town.

Even if it's something boring like an electrical transfer station, the need to satisfy my curiosity should outweigh all other considerations. Right?

Since this is not a requirement, and I'm sure the folks doing construction have better things to do, I'll consider this my job. I mean, that's what we're here for, right? Think of this space as your digital "Construction Sign", the coming soon announcement, if you will.

How about a new restaurant? We're always talking about the new places we'd like to see built in our little town, so I was excited to learn we're getting a restaurant none of us even thought of!

Let's Welcome Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Tropical Smoothie Cafe sounds amazing, and I have yet to explore their full menu. They are already well-established in Arizona, with locations in cities like Tucson, Phoenix, Chandler and other towns around our state.

First, can we unpack smoothies? I'm a big fan of delicious, green drinks loaded with veggies and vitamin shots.

If you're into something a little more fruit-centered, they've got a wide range of options to choose from there, too. And you can even order an edible straw! A straw you can eat, when you're done with it! It comes in lime or lemon flavor!

Food Options, Too

Smoothies are great, but Tropical Smoothie Cafe also serves food. With sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, salads and more - they're bound be a new and refreshing option to our local fare.

Coming Soon

At this writing, construction is just beginning - the earth movers have only just started to scratch the dirt. Construction is estimated to be completed in 3 to 4 months, so if all goes as planned, we could be enjoying a delicious smoothie just in time for our second summer warmth in the early to mid-fall time frame.
